Alexa Reyes Death, Obituary – The Mecca Coroner’s Bureau was able to determine the identities of five victims, including two children, who were killed when the car in which they were traveling was involved in an accident with a semi-truck over the course of the weekend. Among the deceased were two adults and three children. There were a total of five people that passed away, including two adults and three children. It was approximately 5:15 p.m. on Saturday when it was reported that the collision had taken place on 81st Avenue, which is situated close to the intersection where it meets State Route 86.
A Volkswagen Jetta that was located on 81st Avenue and moving in the opposite direction of the crossing was about to come into view. There were five occupants in the vehicle, and it was headed east. The Volkswagen Jetta was advancing in the direction of travel toward the intersection in the forward direction. At the time of the crash on State Route 86, the California Highway Patrol received reports that a semi-truck was heading in the same direction as the other vehicle that was involved.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol discovered that the driver of the Volkswagen failed to yield to oncoming traffic when they reached the junction. As a result, the front of the semi-truck collided with the left side of the Volkswagen, which led to the driver of the Volkswagen being ejected from the vehicle.
