Barbara Nowinski Obituary, Death – Barbara Nowinski died in Rosendale, WI, at age 73 on December 24, 2022. Barbara Nowinski was the first child to be born to her parents, Joseph and Marion (Olsheski) Nowinski, on July 27, 1949 in the city of Ripon. David, her brother, and Janice, her sister, arrived not long after she did. Barbara attended every day of high school and received the highest honors when she graduated from Ripon Senior High School in 1967. She also did not miss a single day of high school. She received her Registered Nurse certification in 1970 after completing her studies at Mercy Nursing School in Oshkosh.
Patients had nothing but praise for Barbara, an exceptional nurse who cared for them. She had a genuine concern for her patients and made it her mission to provide them with excellent medical attention. After beginning her medical career at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, Barbara went on to work at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. When she was in good health, her hobbies included traveling, needlepoint, and attending classes. She adored her role as a Bible School teacher at the local church. Barb’s symptoms of multiple sclerosis began to worsen when she was in her 30s, and she eventually moved back to Ripon when she was in her 40s because of the progression of her condition.
After some time, Barbara’s Multiple Sclerosis-related physical limitations required her to relocate to Tower View Villa’s Assisted Living community. Over the course of more than 11 years, the staff became like a second family to her and provided loving and compassionate care for her. Barb’s mind was as sharp as ever, and she continued to enjoy reading and watching her cherished Green Bay Packers. Barb’s niece and nephew were a wonderful source of happiness for her, and she cherished getting to spend time with other children and their pets.
In November, Barbara was given a diagnosis of aggressive cancer, which ultimately led to the conclusion of her life. Barb had been a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church for her entire life, and she attributes her ability to cope with the discomfort of multiple sclerosis to her faith. On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, there will be a visitation for Barbara at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, which is located at 228 Blossom Street in Ripon, Wisconsin 54971. At 11:00 in the morning on December 28, 2022, a funeral mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, and the Reverend Robert A. Fictum will preside over the ceremony.
