Bob Shindle Obituary, Death – Bob Shindle, a resident of Toronto, Ontario, native of Thunder Bay, Ontario and worker at Four Seasons Centre has died with loved ones, family and entire community left in total sadness. A loved one of Bob penned a tribute on social media following his passing. “Shindle, Bob. My dearest pal. I’m very sorry you’re no longer among us. We were inseparable from the moment we met. Bob altered my life in so many ways for the better.
Bob asked me if I could read music during a Kim Mitchell band soundcheck early on. The following day, he recommended me to the Mamma Mia! producers. Bob putting my name in the room gained me the job and paved the way for a long and fruitful career in the theatre. I would not have gone down that road if he hadn’t opened the door for me. Working together every day at MM was a long and enjoyable run.
Bob suggested Lawrence Gowan, which led to an unbelievable ride in the studio. And countless other opportunities as a result of Bob introducing me to someone fresh.
Bob Shindle… literally the greatest fader player ever. He instilled in you the belief that you always sounded better than any other band on the bill. I’ll never forget debating with you about how loud the kick is in the drum balance… and you ignoring me.
Lol I’m so glad you got to know Tina. You worked so hard to make our wedding happen. You were greatly missed, yet you were present in spirit. It means everything to me that you were so thrilled for us and that you adored Tina so much for me. And she was crazy about you.
I can’t tell you how much I’ll miss our ranting, snarky text threads, lunch dates, and making noise together.
Thank you for everything you’ve taught me, done for me, stood by my side for, the crazy laughs we shared… and for always making me sound like a million bucks.
I’ve been in tears all day because of the outpouring of affection for you on social media. But it demonstrates what an enormous influence you had on everyone you called a friend. We’re not sure how we’ll get through this without you. I’m eternally grateful you were my close friend. I’m going to miss you tremendously.
Biggi, Rachael, and Jason have my undivided attention.
I’ve never seen someone fight as hard and as optimistically as you, Bobby. It’s time for you to rest, my friend.
Bob, I adore you.”
