Brian Rosenblatt Obituary, Death – Even though I feel like words are so insignificant and worthless, I’m going to try nonetheless. Brian was one of the most generous people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. His love for his family, friends, and all of his cherished animals shone brightly from him. He had a manner of looking at and listening to people that left you with a sense of being protected and honored. He had a wicked sense of humor and could make you laugh at any given moment with his cutting remarks. The love that he had for our close friend Gini was the most mesmerizing and awe-inspiring love that I have ever witnessed.
I will never forget the time that I got to witness it. It was the kind of thing you read about in fairytales and fantasies, and it never failed to inspire me to have faith in people. Love is a beautiful thing in and of itself, but the love that existed between Brian and Gini was doomed to fail. My heart breaks for Gini as well as for all of us. But I am aware that love is eternal and can never be lost. During this incomprehensibly difficult period, it permeates each one of us, and it surrounds our dear buddy.
It seems as though a tsunami has swept through our community, but when I sit shiva for the entire week and see the love and caring that exists amongst us, it gives me hope once again. I hope to see you again sometime, Brian. I want you to know that I love you and that we are all here to support you and sit with you in this time of overwhelming sorrow; you are not alone. Friends, tomorrow is not a promise; let the people in your life know that you love them, just as Brian and Gini have done consistently throughout their relationship. Sending love and light to everyone.
