Curtis Brown Obituary, Death – On the evening of Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 7:32 o’clock, a local hospital informed the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office that they had received a report of a death that had been caused by a natural cause. After conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Curtis Brown’s passing when he was 47 years old, it was determined that he had died as a result of natural causes. On the evening of Friday, January 20, 2023, the body of Mr. Brown was taken from the hospital and delivered to the personnel of the Collins & Stone Funeral Home. Mr. Brown had passed away earlier in the day on Friday, January 20. It was reported that a van that belonged to the Collins & Stone Funeral Home in Rockford had been seized without authorization early on the morning of Saturday, January 21, 2023.
In the end, the automobile was identified as having been in the city of Chicago on the evening of January 22, 2023, which was a Sunday night. However, there was no sign of Mr. Brown’s deceased body in the van in any manner, shape, or form. On the evening of Monday, January 23, 2023, the body of Mr. Brown was discovered there. It was located behind an empty house on the 8200 block of South Manistee Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Even after being told that Mr. Brown had passed away, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office made the decision not to be responsible for Mr. Brown’s body. The Chicago Police Department contacted their colleagues in Rockford, Illinois, and asked for assistance from the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office. Both departments are located in the state of Illinois. In order to be of aid, personnel from the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office went to the 8200 block of Manistee Avenue.
The Coroner’s Office took care of Mr. Brown and transported him back to Rockford, where he is being held in prison until he can be moved to a funeral home. The Coroner’s Office also assisted in Mr. Brown’s treatment. The unfortunate events that had taken place were revealed to Mr. Brown’s family in the form of news. Since then, they have been negotiating with a funeral home that is located in another state in order to deliver Mr. Brown to his family who lives in Mississippi. The Brown family is from Mississippi. Both the Chicago Police Department and the Rockford Police Department worked together on this investigation in order to find a solution to the mystery. The investigation into the events that took place in Rockford has not yet been finished by the Rockford Police Department.
