Cynthia Young Obituary, Death – After a valiant and protracted struggle with cancer, Cynthia H. (Marean) Young, age 76, of Sibley Circle, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in the comfort of her own home. Roland “Butch” W. Young Jr., her spouse of 28 years and the person who passed away in 2014, came before her in death. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn L. Ferraro of Worcester; her special sister-in-law, Paulette E. Masse of Millbury; two brothers-in-law, Robert Young of Florida and John Young of Douglas; special nephews and nieces, James Ferraro and his wife Scarlett, Robyn Ferraro, Scott Masse, and Monique Boulette;
Also, her stepson, Roland W. Young III of Virginia; numerous great nephews and nieces; and her cherished dog She was the daughter of the late Frank C. and Catherine V. (Hamilton) Marean Jr. and was born in Worcester. Prior to relocating to Oxford in 1991, she resided in Worcester, Webster, and Dudley. Her parents both passed away. In 1967, she received her diploma from the North High School in Worcester. After working there for 28 years, Mrs. Young retired from the N.G.M. Insurance Company in Auburn in the year 2012. Throughout her whole career, she was employed in the financial business.
Her favorite places to visit in the United States were Branchport, New York, and Maine. Mrs. Young and her husband, Butch, had a lot of fun doing things together, such as going on trips, riding motorcycles, and going out on boats. She enjoyed her time off the most when she could spend it with her family and her pets. The family would like to express their gratitude to Notre Dame Hospice for the outstanding care that they provided to Cindy over the course of the previous several months. On Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 10 to 11 am, there will be a memorial calling hour conducted at the Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, which is located at 357 Main Street in Oxford. After the completion of the calling hour at eleven in the morning, there will be a time set apart for prayer.
