David Lampert Obituary, Death – Jesus Christ, who was David Lampert’s Lord and Savior, called him home, and he went to live with him. His immediate relatives and a few close acquaintances gave him the nickname “Ozzie,” which is short for “Oz.” The Welsh Island Heritage Railway was something that he looked forward to working on alongside his father and other members of the family. David had a lifelong fascination with acquiring new knowledge, and he was often seen reading. He came to the conclusion much later in life, after he had already met and wed his wife Mary, that his maturing trust in God had been the single most significant thing in his life up to that point. He had a conviction that he should devote his life to full-time ministry. After he retired, he continued to be active in ministry on the side and maintained contact with a large number of congregations.
David loved his time spent in nature and was eager to learn about the world. He enjoyed reading about a wide variety of topics, but particularly those pertaining to science and religion. He enjoyed getting to know individuals and being responsible for their well-being. He had a wide variety of interests, some of which were ham radio, model railways, and bird watching. He enjoyed making other people laugh by relating hilariously absurd tales. Because he loved his family so much, in his latter years, he delighted in the opportunity to play the role of Pop-Pop (grandfather). His immediate relatives and close friends will miss him tremendously.
Mary Lampert, who he cherished, was his partner in marriage. She passed away before he did. He is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl Lampert of Hillsborough and Emma Waters of Piscataway, as well as his daughter-in-law Tommy Waters of Piscataway and granddaughter Anna Faith Waters of Piscataway. He is also survived by his granddaughter Anna Faith Waters of Piscataway. Before he was even born, both of his parents, David Lampert, Sr. and Maria Lampert, passed away. His siblings are Richard Lampert and Nancy Kozyra, and he is also the uncle or aunt to a large number of nieces and nephews.
