Debra Nugent Death, Obituary – It is with a heavy heart that we learned Debra Nugent of Shellsburg, Iowa, has died sadly and unexpectedly leaving loved ones in pain, agony, and sadness. She received her diploma from Bourne High School, which was located in the state of Massachusetts, and on September 25, 1982, she wed Joseph R. (Rick) Nugent, Jr. Earlier in her working life, she had been employed as a sales associate at KMart.
She left that job to pursue other opportunities. She was talented in a wide variety of crafts and had a passion for gardening; she cherished the time she could spend working outside. Debra’s greatest favorites were the holiday feasts that were served on Christmas Eve and the Fourth of July. She looked forward to these dinners throughout the entire year. The time that Debra was able to spend with her children and grandchildren was something that she held in the highest regard.
During the winter, one of her favorite things to do was to go sledding, and during the summer, you could find her lazing around in her pool. Sledding was one of her favorite winter activities. Her two sisters, Theresa Chisholm and Diane Gary, both passed away before she did. She was the youngest of the three. She is survived by her husband, Rick, of Oxford; her sons, Shawn Nugent and wife Brittany, Timothy Nugent and wife Bobbi, Corey Nugent and significant other Julia Poulin and Aaron Nugent.
Also survived by her daughter, Shikara McAlister and husband John; and her seven grandchildren, Paige Nugent, Wyatt Nugent, Piper Nugent, Ayden Nugent, and Avery Nugent. She is also survived by her husband, Rick, of Oxford; and her son.
