Denys Monastyrskyi Death, Obituary – has diedThe global membership and the secretariat of Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA) extend their most sincere solidarity and heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Mr. Denys Monastyrskyi, MP, Member of PGA since 2019 and Minister of the Interior of Ukraine since 2021, as well as to the people of Ukraine, the Government of Ukraine, and the Parliament of Ukraine. Mr. Monastyrskyi served as a member of the PGA since he first joined, Mr. Monastyrskyi has been an active PGA member. Mr. Monstyrskyi has been a member of the PGA ever since he first began his professional career. The illegal, full-scale war of aggression in and against Ukraine has been going on since the 24th of February 2022, and it has caused the civilian population of Ukraine a tremendous amount of suffering and persecution.
It has also led to an impressive number of casualties within the armed ranks of the aggressor-State(s), which are the Russian Federation and its closest allies, as well as within the ranks of the State exercising its inherent right to self-defense, which is Ukraine. The Russian Federation and its closest allies are responsible for the majority of these deaths. The majority of these fatalities are the direct result of actions taken by the Russian Federation and its closest allies. The President of the PGA, Mr. Naveed Qamar, MP (Pakistan), sent a letter of condolences to the Chairperson of the PGA Ukraine National Group, Dr. Galyna Mykhailiuk, MP. In the letter, Mr. Qamar expressed his sincerest sorrow and offered his sincere condolences. At the present time, Dr. Mykhailiuk is functioning in the capacity of Deputy Head of the Committee on Law Enforcement.
Despite this, Mr. Monastyrskyi will remain in his role as chair of the committee until July 2021. President Qamar, speaking on behalf of the PGA Board, addressed the organization’s sense of solidarity and support on behalf of our global network, which is comprised of 1200 individual parliamentarians located in 140 different countries. In his remarks, President Qamar referred to our global network as “our global family.” In addition, he reiterated the unyielding and unmistakable criticism that the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) has leveled against the ongoing war of aggression, which was the direct cause of this fatal occurrence. As a direct result of the unanticipated passing of Mr. Denys Monastyrskiy, Minister of the Interior and PGA Member, we would like to extend our most sincere condolences and sympathies to his family, friends, and coworkers, as well as to the people of Ukraine, their government, and their legislative body. We are deeply saddened by this loss.
