Devin Caraccio Obituary, Death – The Ottumwa Police Department said on Tuesday that a hospital worker who was 27 years old at the time of his death a year ago was responsible for the sexual assault of a number of patients. The incidents occurred at the hospital where the worker worked. At that moment, he passed away unexpectedly. According to the information provided in his obituary, Devin Caraccio was a resident of Centerville and worked at Ottumwa Regional Health Center as an internal medicine hospitalist. This information was discovered in the obituary that was written in his honor and published after his passing. According to Lieutenant Jason Bell of the Ottumwa Police Department, who gave this information with KCCI, Caraccio passed away unexpectedly in October as a result of an accidental overdose on narcotics.
This information was sent along to KCCI. He was responsible for the abuse of a total of nine different victims, the most of them were women. The abuse he committed was sexual in nature. During the course of the investigation into the homicide, the authorities stated that they were able to obtain access to Caraccio’s cell phone, which they claimed contained photographs of nine victims ranging in age from children to adults. The authorities also claimed that they were able to access the photographs without Caraccio’s knowledge. In addition to this, the police said that they were able to access the phone even though Caraccio was unaware of their actions.
The authorities claim that Caraccio secretly videotaped himself sexually assaulting patients while they were either sleeping or unconscious, and that he did this while the victims were being filmed on camera. Additionally, they claim that he did this while they were being filmed themselves. Caraccio was the sole individual who was involved in the crime, according to Bell’s assessment of the evidence, which leads in that direction. Five of the victims who were involved in the event have been located and contacted by the authorities at this current time. According to the statements made by the police, the hospital has apparently been entirely helpful with the inquiry at every point.
