Monterey Park Mass Shooting Suspect Identified – A mass shooting at Monterey Park, California today left 10 shot and killed, a driver found dead in truck and multiple injured according to Police report. The shooting in Monterey Park, approximately seven miles east of downtown Los Angeles, took place on Lunar New Year’s Eve. Luna stated that it was too soon to tell whether the festival was related to the shooting.
Authorities have raided a white van in Torrance, which they believe is linked to the gunman who opened fire on a ballroom dance studio in Monterey Park on Saturday night, killing ten people and injuring ten more.
A SWAT team surrounded the vehicle and smashed its windows in the parking lot of Tokyo Central, a Japanese supermarket near the southwest corner of Hawthorne and Sepulveda boulevards.
In the moments before their approach, at least two bullet holes were visible in the driver’s side window, and the driver appeared to be slumped over the steering wheel. According to multiple law enforcement sources, the driver died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department advisory, the suspect is an adult Asian man standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. The man was pictured wearing a black leather jacket, a beanie, and glasses.
