Finola Jordan Obituary, Death – Finola Jordan was a local resident and a genuinely beautiful lady. The Ballinlough club was once again sorry to learn of the demise of one of their fellow community members. Finola, who married Paddy Jordan many years ago, effectively married herself into the Ballinlough club while she was at it. This is because anyone who knows Paddy Jordan will know what an absolute stalwart and legend he has been within the Ballinlough club over the years, whether he has been on the sidelines or in the meeting room. Finola married Paddy Jordan in order to marry herself into the Ballinlough club.
Therefore, it should not come as a surprise that Finolas children would pass down their family’s passion for Gaelic games and go on to compete for Ballinlough. Pat, another of her sons, is without a doubt one of the most devoted followers of the club, while John, another of her sons, has recently become an important member of the management staff for our Premier football team. Pat has not only maintained a passing interest in the club despite the fact that he now resides in Canada, but he has also been an invaluable and devoted supporter of the club for a considerable number of years.
Finola’s Grandson (Finola’s Grandson) I have no doubt in my mind that the fact that Ben is a regular member of our senior team panel and lines out in the red jersey is something that would have filled his grandparents with an overwhelming amount of pride.
From each and every one of us here at the club, our sincerest condolences go out to Paddy, John, Orlagh, Sharon, and Pat, as well as the rest of the extended Jordan and Carty families.
May God rest the soul of Finola in eternal peace, Ar dheis Dé go raibh an anam.
