George Marchett Obituary, Death – The news that George Marchett, a well-liked member of the Green Gully Club, passed away today has left all of us with a profound sense of loss.
George served in this capacity for a considerable amount of time at our club. His initial job with the senior squad was as a masseur, and then he was promoted to Team Manager and held that position for nine years. During the time that George worked for our company, he was an integral part of our ability to accomplish a great deal of success, one of which was our title as champions of the Victoria Premier League in 1999, 2000, 2003, and 2005.
In addition to this, George was a devoted volunteer who never stopped doing anything he could to assist the club in achieving success and expanding its operations. We are all feeling a great deal of loss at the news that George has passed away. Please keep his loved ones and friends in your thoughts and prayers. We will be thankful to George for the whole of our lives for his integrity and service. I pray that he finds rest in his sleep tonight. George was also a devoted volunteer who never ceased doing everything in his power to assist the club in becoming successful and expanding its reach. George had been a part of the club for a considerable amount of time until his departure.
When we learned that George had passed away, we were at a loss for words and could not believe it. We would be grateful if you could spare a thought for the people he has left behind, particularly his family and the ones he was closest to throughout his life. The news that George is no longer among us has left all of us in a state of profound desolation. Because of George’s high moral standards and unwavering devotion, we will be grateful for the rest of time and for all of eternity. I say a prayer every day that he spends the rest of eternity in perfect tranquility.
In order to demonstrate that Green Gully is in a state of sadness, our club flags will be flying at half-mast from now until further notice. The preparations for the funeral will be communicated to the community shortly.
