Germaine Sever Obituary, Death; – Germaine Sever born in Alhambra, Illinois, she passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 97, Mrs. Sever was a faithful and compassionate member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a hard working mother and grandmother, and she quilted over 40 quilts for her grandkids. She cooked holiday feasts for her family and still found time to tend to her large flower garden around her home.
Her brothers Edgar Braundmeier and Marvin “Bird” Braundmeier, Sr., as well as her parents, Edward L. Braundmeier and Lena B. Braundmeier (Oberdalhoff), went away before she did. Her parents were her parents. Among those who are able to continue the family business are her children, John Sever (wife Beth) of Wood River, Michael Sever (wife Angie) of Moro,
Marsha Mortensen (husband Reid) of Medora, Suzanne Smith (husband Scott) of Ivins, Utah, Robert Sever (wife Melody) of Edwardsville, David Sever (wife Claudia) of Edwardsville, Mary Young (husband Alan) of Ririe, Idaho, and Mark Sever of Boise Those who are left behind in her wake include a total of 41 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was very important to Mrs. Sever, and she lived her faith in a selfless and devoted way (LDS Church).
She quilted more than 40 blankets for her grandkids, putting in a lot of effort both as a mother and as a grandmother. She was very dedicated to both roles. She managed to find time to cook festive meals for her family while also taking care of the huge flower garden that encircled her home in the neighborhood.
