Hannah Robinson Obituary, Death – On Thursday, October 13, 2011, Hannah Robinson stopped putting up a fight against her cancer, only one day before she passed away. Before she was born, both of her parents, Thomas Chronister Robinson and Bertie Chronister Robinson, had passed away. Her father’s name was Chronister, and her mother’s name was Bertie. She was the child that they had. Mrs. Robinson was a member of two different Presbyterian churches in addition to her duties as a homemaker. She belonged to the Union Presbyterian Church as well as the Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Her late husband of 59 years, Jonas Malcom “J.M.” Robinson, and she worked together to sell veggies at the Gastonia Farmers Market for a number of years. She was an active member of a number of different senior’s clubs, and she and her late husband were married for 59 years. She and her husband were together for the entirety of their 59-year marriage. Mrs. Robinson was predeceased by both of her sons-in-law, James Matthew Robinson and John David Robinson, as well as her great-grandson, Evan Robert Lang. Her parents and her spouse were not the only members of her family who had before her in death; her siblings also predeceased her.
Her children and their spouses, who all currently call Gastonia home, are all considered to be among her living descendants. Vivian and Jerry Lang, Phillip and Velda Robinson, James Robinson, and James Robinson are included in this group. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren and the people to whom they were married, including Gloria and Curt Cochran, Elizabeth and Jimmy Edwards, Jonathan and Laura Lang, Jason and Jennifer Robinson, Jaclyn and Daniel Frankenberger, Rachel and Jimmy Isbill, Emily and Jon Thomasson, Laura Robinson, Hannah Robinson, and Jennifer and William Hobson. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren.
On Sunday, October 16, 2011, at three o’clock in the afternoon, which will be the date of the funeral, the ceremony will get underway. The next step will be to bury the body after it has been removed. At the funeral home on Saturday, friends and family members are encouraged to stop by between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM in order to express their sympathies to the bereaved family.
