Hunter McPeak Death, Obituary – Socrates, a prominent figure in ancient Greek philosophy, is credited with saying, “To be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord.” At the time of his passing on December 31st, 2022, Hunter Richard Douglas McPeak was only 19 years old. He was welcomed home and into the presence of his Lord when he passed away.
On September 5, 2003, Sarah Hairrell (McPeak) and Bo McPeak became parents for the first time, and they named their son Hunter. He received his diploma from Idabel High School in 2022 and during his time there, he was a treasured member of the Idabel Warrior Football Team. Following the completion of his secondary education, Hunter enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program at the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in order to pursue a career in the electrical industry.
In addition to being a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Idabel, where he regularly attended services, Hunter was also active in the church’s 3n1 Ministries. The well-being of others was very important to Hunter. His laugh was the only thing that could compete with the volume and intensity of his smile, and he had a laugh that was just as infectious. He got a lot of enjoyment out of seeing other people smile and laugh. He was full of life and joy, had a wicked sense of humor, and loved to have fun. He was an absolute joy to be around.
Death has not yet been successful in defeating Hunter. We are overjoyed by the news of his salvation, but we also know that he is still living on thanks to the selfless act of organ and tissue donation. This knowledge makes us even more joyful. More than seventy individuals have been granted the opportunity to continue living as a direct result of Hunter’s generosity.
