Jack L. Schinness Obituary, Death – Jack L. Schinness was a former CCA Wheelchair Technician. He passed away on January 10, 2023. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. Jack was a ski instructor at Alpine Valley for many years, and he passed on his knowledge to his children and grandchildren. He coached several players in baseball and softball for the summer leagues held in Munson Township for more than 30 years.
Since he had spent his whole life in Munson Township, the Board of Trustees decided to recognize him by bestowing the title of “Notable Resident of the Township” upon him in 2011. He and his wife, Sandy, were both active participants at St. Luke Episcopal Church. They took part in Civil War reenacting together as members of the Berney’s Division and liked going to events all around the region. In recent years, he has taken pleasure in becoming a member of the Emerald Necklace MG Register and driving around in his 1978 MGB.
His parents, Warren and Lucille, as well as his wife, Sandra Jane, passed away before him. He is survived by their son. His children, Scott Schinness, Kelly Weisenburger (Eric) of Norwalk, OH, Craig Schinness of Cleveland, OH, Todd Schinness (Kathy) of Concord Twp, Sean Schinness (Jeanette) of Chardon, OH, Adam “O. J.” Schinness, Ethan Schinness of Kenton, OH, and Cadie Forrester (Rob) of Chesterland, OH survive him. Additionally, he is survived by his grandkids as well as his great grandchildren.
At the Burr Funeral Home on the 17th of January, 2023, there was a visitation that took place from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (116 South Street, Chardon 44024). At the St. Luke Episcopal Church, a memorial ceremony will be held on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at ten o’clock in the morning (11519 Wilson Mills Rd, Chardon, OH 44024).
