In addition, TAPinto was made aware of an unsubstantiated claim from someone who was present at the incident that a firefighter was taken to the hospital. The inquiry is currently being led by the Prosecutor’s Office in Monmouth County. Along with the Monmouth County EMS Task Force, Medical Ambulance Bus 6, the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, multiple fire companies from across the Bayshore responded to the incident.
These fire companies include Hazlet, Keansburg, Keyport, Union Beach, Holmdel, Middletown, Tinton Falls, and Matawan. As the fire progressed throughout the house, the entire right side of the house was entirely consumed in flames. According to unconfirmed accounts, it appears that the fire may have been caused by a faulty dryer vent. The cause of this fire is presently being looked into by authorities. As a result of the unexpected news, the community is in grief. William Montanaro, the husband of Jackie and the father of their two young daughters, shared the news of Jackie’s passing with friends and family on Facebook.
He wrote, “It is with incredible sadness and insanely heavy heart that I share with you the passing of my amazing and absolutely incredible wife Jackie.” She was such a strong and dedicated mother, and she always would do anything for her kids, and they absolutely adore her…she was the perfect match for me…” In a post that was made public on Facebook today, the pre-school in Union Beach, New Jersey, known as Miles of Smiles Pre-School and Daycare, which the young Montanaro girls both attended and graduated from, asked for prayers and informed the public about the address where they can send gift card donations to the family.
The address can be found below. We constantly say that every family that comes to Miles of Smiles becomes a member of our family, and we truly believe that this is the case. Over the course of the years that they were with us, the Montanaro family eventually became a member of our MOS family… Unfortunately, their family was forced to evacuate their home after it was destroyed by a fire, and we were informed this morning that Jackie Montanaro had passed away, making what was already a very difficult day even more difficult. Jackie’s grin was consistently one of the most radiant and warm.
