On Sunday, January 8, 2023, Janelle Louise Morio, who was from Hiawatha and had reached the age of 43, passed away at her home. On the 17th of January, 2023, at ten in the morning, a funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and the Reverend Gary Mayer will preside over the ceremony. St. John’s Cemetery is a location where individuals can be laid to rest in peace in secrecy. The family will be available for friends to visit at the church on Monday evening between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m., and on Tuesday morning after 9 a.m. The Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation Service is providing assistance to the grieving family at this time.
On April 3rd, 1979, Janelle was born in the city of Iowa City. Richard and Carol (Klooster) Young are her father and mother, respectively. She completed her secondary education in Austin, Minnesota, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wartburg College in the year 2001. After that, Janelle pursued a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Iowa. On October 28, 2006, she wed Tyson Morio in Cedar Rapids, and the ceremony took place there. Janelle had been employed by Transamerica since the year 2005. Both the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Scouts BSA troop that her sons were a part of counted on her participation and leadership.
Janelle cherished the time she got to spend with her cats, in the kitchen, and with her friends. First and foremost, Janelle was a devoted wife and mother who delighted in spending time with her children and participating in the activities in which they participated. Janelle’s husband, Tyson, and their two children, Luke and Jack Morio, all of Hiawatha, are the only people who will remember her. She is also survived by her siblings: her brother, Paul (Casey) Young of Erie, Colorado; and her sister, Amanda (John Adams) Young of Broomfield, Colorado. Her parents, Rick and Carol Young, reside in Austin, Minnesota. Hiram and Mildred Klooster as well as Morris and Dorothy Young, Janelle’s paternal grandparents, all away before she was born.
