Jessica Ladd Obituary, Death – Jessica Margaret Ladd, who was 30 years old, went to be with God on January 20, 2023. Robert K. Ladd Sr. and Lisa (Rennau) Ladd had Jessi on May 13, 1992, in Kansas City, MO. She went to elementary school at Our Lady of the Presentation and then junior and senior high school at Ray-Pec, where she graduated in 2010. She went to Longview Community College and got her associate’s degree in 2014. Then she went to the University of Central Missouri and got her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in child and family development in 2017.
Jessi’s laugh was contagious, and her smile could make a room bright. She really cared about other people and was a great example of the faith she was brought up with. Jessi has been through a lot in her life, like when she was 8 and was diagnosed with brain cancer in children. She looked at her problems as chances to learn and grow. She was lucky enough to be a camper at Camp Quality North West Missouri. She had so much fun at camp that when she got the chance to go back as a volunteer, she took it right away. Jess had a soft spot in her heart for kids who were going through hard times like she was. Her passion drove her to start fundraisers for Camp Quality every year, so that other kids with cancer could have the same kind of positive experience she did.
In the summer of 2020, she started dating Mat Williams, who would later become her fiancé. Jess and Mat had a simple life. Sometimes they went antiquing, and Jessi taught Mat how to swim in exchange for going on ghost hunts with him. Their favorite days were the ones they spent being lazy and watching movies on the couch. Jessi loved her big, loud family, whether it was watching the Chiefs win with her dad, making special desserts with her mom, having mystery dinners with her grandma, shopping with her sisters, watching her brother play the guitar, or hanging out with her nieces and nephews, who called her “Aunt Ironfist” out of love. She will be sorely missed, but she won’t be forgotten.
She leaves behind her Grandmother Margaret Rennau (Donovan), Parents Bob and Lisa Ladd, Fiancé Mat Williams, Brother Robert “Keith” Ladd Jr., Sisters Virginia “Ginny” Worstell (Ethan) and Stacey Montgomery (Buddy), Nephews and Nieces Caleb Montgomery (Mariah), Alexis Montgomery, Jasmine Brown, Hadley Worstell, Madison Montgomery, Mackayla Montgomery, Brayden Uncles and aunts: Robert Rennau Jr. (Lupe), (Godfather) Mark Rennau (Amy), Karen Schultz (Scott), Cindy Shubert, Godmother Andrea Donigan, best friend Brooke Fuller, cousins, extended family, and many friends.
