Jon made Death, Obituary – We are sorry to be the ones to deliver any more awful news, and both Nia Griffith MP and Lee Waters MS would want to offer their support to the words made about Jon below by Sara, who is the Chair of the Pembrey and Burry Port Branch. We are sorry to be the bearers of even more horrible news. “It is with great sorrow that I must inform you that our close friend and fellow soldier Jon Wilson went away suddenly on Tuesday, January 3rd.
His passing came as a complete and total shock to all of us. Everyone here was taken completely aback by the news of his demise. Jon has been an ardent supporter of the Labour party ever since he moved to Burry Port a little more than six years ago. He has also been the driving force behind the Pembrey and Burry Port chapter of the Labour party.
He has made it a point to encourage more engagement among the members who are currently there, and he has made it clear that any newcomers who are interested in contributing to the expansion of the local chapter are more than welcome. Jon was someone who, in the perspective of many of us, personified the principles of the Labour Party; he was always helpful and welcoming to everyone around him. He was deeply dedicated to doing all he could to assist others and to working for social justice.
He formed a great number of friendships that would last a lifetime, all of which have been as meaningful to him as they have been to us. He was able to see the importance of these relationships. Jon was a supporter of the cause who also volunteered his time. In addition to lending his assistance to the election campaigns of candidates Nia, Lee, Shelly John, Michael, Mary, and Moira, he offered his time at the Llanelli and local Labour offices. Rob was also a supporter of Jon and his campaign.
We want to express our greatest sympathies to everyone who knew and loved Jon, and we invite anybody who did know him to leave a message below in his memory. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
