Joseph Realmuto Obituary, Death – On Saturday, January 14, 2023, on the island nation of Grenada, Mr. Joseph Realmuto, Sr. passed away at the age of 76. Carrollton was his permanent home at the time. On the 14th of June in the year 1946, he was brought into the world by his parents, Anna and Peter Realmuto. This event took place in Brooklyn, New York. Joe was born and raised in South Florida, and before moving to Mississippi, he served as a law enforcement officer in both Florida and Pennsylvania. After he had settled there, he got work with Satellite America and then went on to work in the automobile industry for Grenada Datsun, Kirk Ford, and Cannon Chevrolet. Being naturally enterprising, he was the operator of a variety of businesses in Grenada, some of which include The Swap Shop, Action Auto Company, Action Cycle, and The Beef House Restaurant, amongst others.
These businesses were all located on the island. Joe had a tremendous amount of love for his wife, his children, his granddaughters, his great-grandchildren, his nieces, his nephews, and his friends. He also had a great deal of affection for his extended family. He was an eager participant in a wide variety of outdoor sports, but his favorites were hunting and fishing. In addition to that, he liked karaoke, motorcycling, playing cards and dominoes with his daughters, collecting old firearms, grilling, and spending time with his grandson Layton and the dog they shared, Little. At the McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, there will be a moment of remembrance held in honor of the deceased. Everyone who knew Joe and cared for him is encouraged to come and participate in a time of sharing stories and happy memories of Joe’s life, which was something that was highly valuable to him.
His wife of 46 years, Deborah Realmuto, is the one who will carry on his legacy in Grenada, Mississippi. He is also survived by their children, Ann Bunting (Barry) of Bartonsville, Pennsylvania, Angel Brower of Gore Springs, Amy Jo Kirkland (Jason) of Leesburg, Florida, Joey Realmuto, Jr., (Heather) of Grenada, Jessica Realmuto of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Jeremy Realmuto (Jennifer) of Grenada; his brother, Joey Realmuto, Sr., of Grenada; and his sister
