Kathleen Corbett Death, Obituary – Kathleen Corbett of Chicago, Illinois, Chicago Fire Department member has died in January 2023 untimely and unexpectedly leaving friends, loved ones, family and the entire community heartbroken and in grievance. Mrs. Corbett received numerous distinctions during her time at Lincoln Park High School, from which she graduated in 1952. She also attended that institution. Following that, she continued on to complete her nursing degree at Henry Ford Community College, where she was awarded her Summa Cum Laude at the end of her studies.
Her first job as a nurse was at the Garden City Osteopathic Hospital, which is where she got her start in the field. She was instrumental in the founding of a number of medical offices that were linked with St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor, as well as the management of those clinics. Her abilities as a nurse were top-notch to say the least. Her personal life with her family and her life as a professional were both very important to her. She placed equal importance on each.
is survived by her husband, William J. Corbett; her son, Shawn Michael (Michelle) Corbett of Wadsworth, Illinois; her daughter, Kelly Ann Corbett, R.N. of Roseville, Michigan; her brother-in-law, William Bowdy of Kentucky; her nieces and nephews, Valerie Ann, William, Matthew, Mary Kay, and Bruce, all of whom are from Kentucky; and her cousin, Karen McPhee of Georgia. She will be remembered with love and respect In addition to this, she is survived by her sister-in-law. Her sister Barbara Ann Bowdy had passed away before her, and she followed in her sister’s footsteps when she also went away.
