Kim Parish Death, Obituary – The British Columbia Native Association (BCNA) would like to pay respect to the tireless work done by Kim Parish, who passed away just before the holiday season. Kim Parish passed away. For a good number of years, Kim Parish was an indispensable member of the BCNA. Kim’s application to participate in the BCNA Consumer Representative program yielded positive results for the first time in 2014. Only after another three years had passed, in 2019, she was offered an invitation to become a member of the BCNA Metastatic Advisory Group.
Her unflinching commitment was essential to the creation of a substantial chunk of our work, and her legacy will be profoundly felt via the activism that we will continue to pursue in the years to come. Her unyielding dedication was an inspiration. Kim’s most recent contribution was for the BCNA’s Making Metastatic Breast Cancer Count difficulties paper, in which she offered supportive and constructive critique. This was her most recent work for the organization. This was the most recent work that she had done for the company since she had started working there. It is possible that she contributed something to this, and it might be found here.
Kim was one of three BCNA consumer representatives who provided feedback for the statement that was produced in the year 2020 by Cancer Australia and titled “Influencing best practice in metastatic breast cancer.” Cancer Australia’s statement was drafted in the year 2020. Cancer Australia was responsible for drafting the statement. During that time, Kim expressed that she was content with the work that the team had done on the statement because it helped to contribute to the development of a more powerful voice for individuals who are afflicted with metastatic breast cancer and made a compelling argument for the significance of communication.
