Larry Osmond Obituary, Death – We are very sad to have to tell you that Larry Osmond has died. Larry Osmond became a patrol officer for the in February 1971. In November 1992, he retired after having done a good job for the people of Del City for 22 years. During his time with the Del City Police Department, he worked his way up to the rank of Captain. As Captain, he was in charge of investigations and support services.
Captain Osmond, you will be missed.
Blanche Osmond nee Burden, his loving wife of 56 years, his children Greg (who is married to Tanya), Lyndon (who is married to Jackie), Roy (who is married to Susan), and Cori, his grandchildren Jonathan (who is married to Desiree), Elana (who is married to Jeremy), Tim (who is married to Natalie), Scott, Matthew, Katelyn, Nicholas, Allison, Benjamin, Ebony, and Logan, his great-grandchildren Tienn His mother and father, Ethel and Ephraim Osmond, and his son, Alvin Kevin Osmond, who died in 1984, died before him. His mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Hector Burden, also died before him. Everett also leaves behind a lot of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends for his family and friends to mourn.
The family will be at St. Andrews United Church in Woody Pt, NL, on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm to see family and friends. The same will happen on Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. This is also where the funeral will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Larry Noseworthy leading the service. Everett asked that he be cremated, and that is what will happen. The details of a private funeral service for his family will be shared later.
