Lauren Hayes Obituary, Death – Devoted daughter of Ruth (Bull) Smith and the late James Smith; sister of Susan (late Thomas) Pappas, Roberta (Donald) Freedenberg, and the late Michelle; passed away on January 5, 2023 after a brief illness; also survived by a large number of close nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as in-laws and out-laws. Dedicated daughter of Ruth (Bull) Smith and the late James Smith; sister of Susan (late Thomas) Pap Visitors from the dead person’s family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. on Sunday between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 pm. The funeral home is located at 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park, New York. On Monday, at 11:30 in the morning, the St. John the XXIII Church in West Seneca will be the location of a Christian memorial service that is more commonly referred to as a Mass.

She was actively involved in both the West Seneca Senior Center and the West Seneca Home Bureau, both of which she belonged to. She was also a member of the West Seneca Home Bureau.
In addition to that, she spent her entire life participating in the activities of the Reserve Hose Ladies Auxiliary, which she joined when she was young. Lauren appreciated the opportunities that allowed her to try her hand at a variety of artistic interests, visit exotic destinations, and have a big belly laugh with the people that she cared about the most.
