Lauren Smeltz Obituary, Death – My sweet little sister was a passenger in the vehicle that was involved in the terrible accident that occurred on Tuesday, January 1, 2023. When the car stopped working, she was driving to one of the last OB checks she would have before giving birth to my beautiful niece Violet. My sister is currently being cared for in the OU Medical Center’s Trauma Intensive Care Unit, and my niece Violet is being treated there in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Because it is not likely that Lauren will be able to make a full recovery, we are setting up this account to make it simpler for people to make monetary contributions to help her wonderful family get through all of the difficulties that they will face in the years to come.
Please accept my thanks. It was Chris Meyer doing the deed. When I woke up this morning, there was a heartbreaking text message waiting for me from my good friend Ann. It was about how she had lost her father. The wife of her nephew’s best friend, Lauren, was tragically killed in a car accident yesterday as she was on her way to one of her last OB appointments. The accident occurred while she was on her way to one of her final appointments. She just had a few more weeks to go before she gave birth to their child. She did not make it, but her husband Jake and their young daughter Violet are still here to remember her. Our deepest condolences go out to her family.
This young couple is in the middle of their twenties, and they have just begun the precious process of starting their own family with a sweet baby. Absolutely shattering and crushing to the very core. Please make use of the GoFundMe page that has been established here if you feel moved to make a donation to help Jake, Ann’s nephew, with all of the challenges that he and his new baby, Violet, will have to face in the future. If you are moved to make a donation, please use the GoFundMe page that has been established here. Thank you. In order to help us get the maximum amount of support possible, I would appreciate it if you could share this message. During this extremely difficult time, we ask that you show Ann and her family as much love as you possibly can and pray for them all. We appreciate your assistance in this matter.
