John Clifton Obituary, Death – John Clifton Studer, who was 72 years old at the time of his death on April 28, 2022, passed away. Abraham “Abe” Lee Studer and Avery Lea Studer were blessed to have such a kind and supportive father in their life. Throughout his entire life, John was a loving and dedicated son to his family. His many friends will remember him for his faithfulness, generosity, unparalleled spirit of adventure, and uncanny ability to infuse any circumstance with laughter and good times.
John was a renowned member of the Arkansas all-state football and track teams while he was attending McClellan High School. He later graduated from the school. After that, he continued his education at Henderson State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in History in 1973. During his time at Henderson, John was an active member of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity, where he rose through the ranks to become first the Vice President and then the President of the Alpha Epsilon Chapter.
When he decided to pursue his lifelong dream of being an entrepreneur and start Studer Trucking Company, his leadership abilities were an invaluable asset. Avery Studer, John’s daughter, as well as his brother Ron Montgomery and his wife Angela, his nephew David Montgomery and his wife Beth, and a large number of great-nieces and great-nephews survive him. His parents, Margie and Henry Montgomery, as well as his son, Abe Studer, and his fiancee, Samalita Snowden Martin, all passed away before him.
On May 4 from 5 to 7 o’clock in the evening, there will be a Memorial Service.
