Lech Ziolowski Obituary, Death – When we got the news of the passing of Polish soldier Lech Marian Ziolowski, who had lived to the ripe old age of 101, our hearts were devastated. He had served his country for 101 years. His preceding 101 years had been spent devoting himself to serve his country. His life has been nonstop action and new adventures for a very long time. He hasn’t had a moment to catch his breath. In this trying time, we want his family and anybody else who had a particular place in his heart to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. Lech Marian Ziolowski devoted a significant amount of his life to serving in various capacities in the armed forces. One of the Polish military units that took part in this conflict and fought on Poland’s side was the 1st Polish Independent Parachutist Brigade. The brigade made the landing at Driel on the 21st of September, 1944, with the goal of supplying support to the British forces that were stationed in Oosterbeek at the time.
