Liam Donaghy Obituary, Death – On the morning of November 6, 2007, at ten in the morning, Liam Donaghy passed away at his home. After almost eight months of therapy for leukemia, which included a bone marrow transplant at Dana Farber in July and repeated stays at the Eastern Maine Medical Center, Philip passed away from the disease.
Liam, who turned 35 years old in August, was an IT consultant and a contributor to the Apache Software Foundation. He was also a submitter. His wife Anne, who he adores, their son Liam, who is 4 years old and attends the Adams School, and his daughter Mila, who is 2 years old and attends the Otter House make up Liam’s family. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Simon Donaghy, who resides in Washington, District of Columbia; his mother, Jennifer Donaghy, and his stepfather, Patrick Lorenz, who are in Castine; and his father, Austin Donaghy, and stepmother,
Anne Conners, who reside in Cushing. Liam was a remarkable young man in his own right. We and the individuals who cared for him have been able to make it through this difficult time because to his bravery and consistency. Our most sincere thanks go out to Dr. Phillippe Armand of the Dana Farber Institute at Harvard University and Dr. Thomas Openshaw of the Eastern Maine Medical Center. Many thanks go out to everyone who worked as a nurse or caregiver on the sixth floor of the Eastern Maine Medical Center, as well as to our friends in Liam and everywhere in the world. A memorial service will take place at one in the afternoon.
