Liam McLaughlin Obituary, Death – Liam was formerly an adjudicator in the Irish language portion of the Derry Feis. In addition, he was a well-known and highly respected teacher of the language at St. Columba’s College. Liam is a dedicated supporter of the Derry Feis. Liam also published the hugely popular weekly Irish language column for the Derry Journal for a number of years, during which time he garnered the utmost respect and admiration of the whole staff of the paper.
Even before skateboarding became widely famous, Liam had a deep-seated interest in the sport. He would put in countless hours to polish his skateboarding skills, and he was regarded as something of a local skating legend as a result. Before relocating to St. Paul in 2017, he spent time living and working in a number of cities and towns throughout the United States over the course of his life, including Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Lincoln, Nebraska; Butte, Montana; Kalispell, Montana; and Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Liam was a lover of cats, as well as a devotee of science fiction, post-apocalyptic, and post-apocalyptic films and TV shows. He also enjoyed classic literature and poetry. It brought him great joy to recommend all of his favored works of literature, television shows, music, and memes to his close pals. All of the people who knew Liam will certainly miss his quick wit and one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and they will feel a deep sense of loss because of his passing. His mother, Helen McLaughlin, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents, all passed away before Liam was born. A memorial service is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at three o’clock in the afternoon.
