Lillian Gray Death, Obituary – Lillian was born in Pulaski, Virginia, on April 2nd, and her birthday is April 2nd as well. Her parents, Charlie Rupe Dalton and Lena Rupe Dalton, had both passed away before she was born, so they did not get to see their daughter grow up. Lillian was a loving and devoted Christian, in addition to being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She also had a great grandmother. In addition to that, she had a sizable extended family.
Both to her family and to the church that she went to, she displayed a deep sense of devotion and responsibility. On April 19, 1958, Lillian and Jim exchanged their vows in front of family and friends, and this year marked the occasion of their 64th wedding anniversary as a married couple. Since the year 1973, when Lillian initially joined First Baptist Church, she had been a devoted and active member of the congregation there. She directed Christmas programs, taught Sunday School, assisted other teachers in teaching Sunday School, taught Sunday School, and enjoyed participating in small group Bible studies for women.
Other than that, she also taught Sunday School. In addition to that, she was a teacher at a local Sunday school. She had a lot of fun in her role as a servant up until the point where her health started to deteriorate, but after that, she didn’t enjoy it as much. Up until the year 1997, Lillian worked as a registered nurse for King’s Daughter Home Health.
In that year, she made the decision to call it quits and retire from the nursing profession. During the time that she was employed at that facility, she provided nursing services to residents of Wayne, West Virginia, as well as those living in the counties of Lawrence, Boyd, Carter, Johnson, and Elliott. In addition, she served patients from the surrounding areas. In addition to that, she was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Eastern Star).
