Lyn grew up in Middleton, where she also graduated from high school in 1966. She went to UW-Madison after high school. She went to work at AnchorBank not long after that. A small group of people who worked there came up with “the birthday club.” They had fun exploring Wisconsin towns, going on trips abroad, laughing, and talking about the good old days for more than 35 years.
Lyn left AnchorBank in 2014 as Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending, after working there for 43 years. Lyn did research on her family’s history and went to all of her grandchildren’s sports games after she retired. She also served on the board of her Northwoods Condo Association.
Lyn’s love of animals, trying new foods, and being outside often made her want to travel. She liked to learn about the culture of every place she went, whether it was to Warrens, Wis., for Cranfest, the Northwoods, across the U.S. for a Badgers game, or to faraway places like Europe, Africa, or the Galapagos Islands. She liked to try new recipes when she traveled, and you could often find her in the kitchen cooking while watching a PBS show and sipping a Manhattan.
