Madison McCarthy Death, Obituary – Madison McCarthy, who had completed 17 years of schooling, passed away on December 24th, 2022. Leaving behind her devoted parents, Tom ’83 and Maria McCarthy, her sister Gianna ’20, her aunts Maureen (McCarthy) Donohoe ’72 and Rosemary ’79, and her uncles Ted ’83, Mark ’81 (death), Pat ’77 (deceased), Phil ’74, and Timothy ’70. When Maddie was working as a caregiver in a classroom filled with small children, all of whom adored her and reciprocated that affection in equal measure, she realized that she had found her vocation in life. She was an admirer of the outdoors, a devoted daughter, and a fiercely loyal friend who could brighten a space with little more than her presence and a smile that spread like wildfire.
She was also a fiercely loyal friend who could brighten a space with little more than her presence and a smile that spread like wildfire. A friend of the family has started a GoFundMe campaign in order to collect monetary contributions to cover the costs associated with Maddie’s memorial service as well as any additional costs that may be associated with Tom’s ongoing medical treatment. The funds raised through this campaign will also be used to cover any additional costs that may be associated with Tom’s regular medical treatment. Since quite some time ago, Maddie has been providing her father, who has an advanced form of Alzheimer’s disease, with day-to-day care.
Maddie’s father has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. If Maria is unable to care for Maddie, Tom will need the assistance of a full-time caregiver in order for Maria to allow him to return to work. If Maria is unable to care for Maddie, Tom will need the assistance of a full-time caregiver. I would ask that you give some consideration to making a contribution of whatever amount you are able. During this difficult time, Maria, Tom, and Gianna wish to convey their profound appreciation for the support they have received from everyone. Maddie’s family intends, as time goes on, to share more publicly about their preparations for a memorial service to celebrate Maddie’s life as an order to commemorate her passing.
