Mary and Floyd Gottschall ran the Gottschall Hotel as proprietors and managers for the entirety of their 52-year tenure there. After the hotel had shut its doors for the night, Mary went home to work. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandchildren, as well as reading, doing puzzles, and cross-stitching. In addition, Mary enjoyed entertaining guests at her home by throwing eggnog parties, Fourth of July celebrations, and fireworks shows.

Also predeceased by Mary are her parents.
Mary expressed a strong preference for there not being a service, thus there won’t be any.
