Melissa Anne Silk Obituary, Death – Melissa Anne Silk of Rockaway, NJ, unexpectedly passed away. Melissa A. Silk, who lived in Rockaway, New Jersey, and was 56 years old when she passed away on January 19, 2023, had fought a valiant battle against brain cancer. Melissa was the daughter of Raymond Jay and Dorothy Conlan, both of whom have now passed away. She was the sister of Michael Conlan and his wife Katie, Tim Conlan and his wife Lena, Kathleen Burnett, Lorrie McCarthy and her husband Terry, James Conlan and his wife Claudia, and so many other nieces and nephews that they could fill a banquet hall. Jeff Conlan, who passed away, was her brother-in-law. He was the brother of Tim Conlan and his wife Lena. Jeff Conlan was the brother of Tim Conlan and his wife Lena. Jeff Conlan
The first job that Melissa ever had was in banking, and it was there that she first met her future husband, Tom. They hurriedly tied the knot and then purchased a home in the Rockaway neighborhood. The beginning of Melissa and Tom’s family consisted of their two sons, Gavin and Colin. After the birth of Gavin and the subsequent diagnosis of autism, Melissa made a career transition. As an ABA/RBT therapist, she discovered that she was meant to do this work. She poured everything she had into her career and as a result, she has many lifelong pals. She took great joy in being of service to young people. She was so “out there” that it appealed to others, and they liked her for it. The children and their parents would either run away from her or greet her with open arms, but either way, they were overjoyed to see her as soon as she smiled and explained what was going to take place.
She cherished this role more than anything else in the world; in fact, she cherished it so much that on the weekends she would teach swimming lessons. Her infectious grin and louder-than-usual laugh had the power to change someone’s mind about doing something they weren’t interested in doing. Everyone will miss her, but the individuals who truly cared about her, such as Casey, Milo, and Maddy, will miss her the most. Everyone will miss her, but those people will miss her the most. On the Saturday, January 28, 2023, a memorial service in honor of Melissa will be held at the Dangler Funeral Home in Morris Plains from 2 to 6 o’clock in the evening. If there is a consistent flow of individuals through the Funeral Home, then everyone will have the opportunity to pay their respects, which will keep everyone safe and ensure that no one gets sick.
