Melvin Suter Obituary, Death – The 6th of February, 1925 was the day he was born. Melvin was a member of the Harrisonburg Mennonite Church during his lifetime. He took great pleasure in spending time in his woodworking shop, and the members of his family make frequent use of the various pieces of furniture he crafted for them. A heartfelt thank you to the medical professionals who worked at Wenger House, Crestwood, and Oak Lea/VMRC for the excellent care that Michael received.
He tied the knot with the woman formerly known as Dorothy Suter on April 5, 1950, and she was the one to pass away before him on August 8, 1991. He wed the former Lottie Masser on December 21st, 2002, and she passed away on August 21st, 2017; they had been married for 16 years. His siblings Mahlon Showalter and Henry Showalter, as well as his sister Anna V. Showalter, all passed away before he did. On Wednesday at eleven in the morning, Pastor Bernie Fuska will preside over a service in the Zion Mennonite Cemetery located close to Broadway. Those who would like to pay their respects can do so at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway on Tuesday between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM. From six o’clock till eight o’clock, the family will be present.
At the funeral home and the graveside service, everyone will be forced to wear masks and keep their distance from each other in accordance with CDC rules.
