Mike Buckholt Death, Obituary – Last week, my father, Mike Buckholt, passed away in an unexpected accident. He was an influential person in my life and the impetus for the founding of BMS more than two decades ago. To be able to spend my formative years with him, assisting him in the assembly of bikes and the repair of vehicles, was a privilege for which I am grateful. During the 1990s, he was employed as an engineer at the very first Pattisson golf products firm, and he possessed a great deal of experience and expertise in the field. There is a good chance that a lot of people will remember Dad for his wonderful personality and sarcastic sense of humor. When we first started working at BMS together, each of us was responsible for every facet of production. This included, but was not limited to, mechanical engineering, CAD design, welding, machining, electrics, and hydraulics.
His practical expertise working in the industry gave me the assurance I needed to start our own company together. My older daughter and my younger daughter both currently work for the firm alongside our group of around 20 employees. They are great in a different and more modern sense, and the fact that they can safely deal with consumers and clients who are double their age makes me really delighted. In other words, they are wonderful in a way that is more current. They are the leaders of the future generation and will achieve success in the pursuits they pursue in the years to come no matter what those endeavors may be.
They are now in the process of organizing our company’s move, which is taking place from the north of London to Devon, and they are in the middle of doing so. You can guess that it is a very difficult moment for them, knowing that there are still 15 trucks to go, but despite this, they are forging on because they are resilient, just like their Grandpa was. They are treated as if they are members of our family because that is how we see them and because we consider them to be a part of our family. We believe that this is evidence of how powerful our team is and how much importance we place on the individuals that make up our team.
When someone you cared deeply about dies away for good, it has a way of putting things into perspective for you, and this is especially true if you are the one in charge of operating the family business. Work hard, play even harder, and make sure the people who are most important to you are well taken care of.
