Mitch Coker., who had lived for 58 years when he died away on July 23, 2022, and went to be with God is now in heaven. Before Mitch Coker. was born, both of his parents, Charles. and Alberta Johnson Coker, had already died away. The baby was given the name Mitch after his father.
Mitch specialized in welding, and his most recent job was at the England Fitness Center, where he worked for a number of years. He competed in a number of running competitions and was a member of the Cabot Country Cruisers, with whom he ran in the Arkansas Road Runners Club of America Ground Prix series. He ran quite a bit. In 2018, he was given the pleasure of receiving the Honorary Iron Runner award, which is something that he is extremely delighted to have accomplished. After he reached retirement age, he made the decision to take up photography as a hobby so that he could devote more time to his “run” family.
The adages “Never give up” and “Always believe in yourself” served as his guiding principles.
Mitch is remembered by his wife of 34 years, Tina Roberts Coker of England, Arkansas; by his daughter, Cyntanna (Layne) Hawkins of Moody, Alabama, who was the center of his universe; and by other members of the family and friends he leaves behind. Tina Roberts Coker is a native of England, Arkansas. Cyntanna (Layne) Hawkins is a native of Moody, Alabama.
Visitation will be held from six o’clock in the evening to eight o’clock that evening on Monday, July 25, 2022.
