Padraic Carter Obituary, Death – The shocking and upsetting news that our u9 coach, Padraic Carter, had passed away this morning came to us as a shock. Since we found out about this tragedy, we have been unable to contain our sorrow. Padraic’s first point of contact with Vale was through his eldest son Charlie, who participated in our Footy4Kids program. Padraic rapidly became an active volunteer with these camps on Saturday mornings after Charlie’s participation. Charlie has joined our staff of junior coaches as of late. After that, he started working as a coach for the team that his youngest son Harry was on.
He has three boys, and Harry is the youngest of the three. When his sons had a game or a practice, Padraic was never far away; in fact, he never left their side the entire time. Padraic coached with the U9 squad that his younger son Harry played on, and he was always present to offer assistance when his older son Charlie trained and played with our U11s. In an act of respect, all training sessions for tonight have been postponed, and tomorrow night, during the A team’s shield semi-final match against New Oak, there will be a moment of quiet held during the game. In this trying time, we would want to reassure his wife Maggie, their children, and the rest of the Carter family that they are in our thoughts and prayers. We wish to express our condolences to all of them.
