Patricia Piedra Obituary, Death – The news that Patricia De la Piedra, Lucho’s mother, passed away suddenly yesterday breaks my heart and fills me with tremendous sorrow. I share this news with you with deep sorrow and a shattered heart. She was a lovely person inside and out, and she was the beating heart of our family. The realization that she was no longer a part of our lives hit us like a ton of bricks when we first opened our eyes this morning.
During this time of mourning, we would appreciate it if you would keep Lucho, his father Luis, sister Mariana, our family, and her close friends in your thoughts and prayers. Patricia worked for Wal-Mart for 27 years, during which time she held a variety of positions within the company. Her loyalty to the company was unwavering. She was constantly observed to be beaming with a wide smile on her face and exuded an abundance of happiness. She was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church and had a generous spirit, assisting anyone and everyone she could. She devoted much of her time to reading and caring for the flowers in her garden.
She would get up and immediately turn on some music to get the day started since she found that music gave her the energy she needed. Her infectious humor and radiant smile are two qualities that will be sorely missed. Patricia’s parents, Oscar Barrera and Natividad Garcia, as well as her brother, Abel Joe Urdiales, and her two nephews, Matthew Pesqueda and Baltasar Pesqueda Jr., have all passed away before her. Patricia is the only survivor of her immediate family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Miguel Piedra; her daughter, Veronica Piedra; her son, Nicholas Matthew Piedra; her sisters, Rose Irene Pesqueda and husband Baltasar Pesqueda Sr., Deborah Bermea, Priscilla Barrera, Phyllis Barrera, and Bonnie Garza; her brother, Richard Barrera; and her nieces Natasha and Feleasha Pesqueda.
