Paul Gieschen Death, Obituary – After a valiant struggle against cancer, Paul Andrew Gieschen, age 57, died away on December 31, 2022 at St. Agnes Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Since October of that year, he had been receiving treatment there as a patient. During the final moments of his life, loving ones from both sides of his family were there to care for him. On March 2, 1965, his parents, the late Reverend Norbert A. Gieschen and Caroline M. (Lehrke) Gieschen, welcomed him into the world. His father would later pass away. It was already known that Norbert A. Gieschen had gone away. Because he was born after his parents had already passed away in this incarnation, he did not get the chance to know them.

The funeral will be held as a tribute to the one who has passed away. Paul had the good fortune to meet Sarah Kempf, the lady who would go on to become the love of his life, when he was just 16 years old. Sarah would become Paul’s wife. In the end, they would tie the knot at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fremont on June 6, 1987. In 1990, Paul and Sarah uprooted their family and relocated to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Ever since then, they have been completely committed to being wonderful parents to their daughter, Danielle, whom they named after Fond du Lac. Because Paul has always had a profound love for books and writing, he was able to obtain employment in the bookselling industry at Waldenbooks and Borders for the greater part of a quarter of a century.
After that, Paul started working for a charitable organization, and eventually he was promoted to the position of corporate director at Bethesda Lutheran Communities/AbleLight. After that, he moved to a different area of the country. Because Paul was so committed to the congregation he attended, the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, was able to rely on him at all times. Paul derived a great deal of satisfaction from filling his spare time with activities that brought him joy, such as going fishing, reading, being outdoors, spending time with his family, and watching the Minnesota Vikings play.
In addition to that, he liked to visit with his relatives and close friends. The level of commitment that Paul had to the community of believers in which he worshiped is demonstrated by the fact that over the course of his life he held a variety of positions on the board that governs the church. Paul is survived by his wife, Sarah; his daughter, Danielle (AJ) Zayia; his one and only granddaughter, Caroline Rose; his sister, Nadine Gieschen; and a number of additional nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. In addition, Paul is survived by his sister, Nadine Gieschen. On October 19, 2018, Paul peacefully passed away.
