Pauline Jones Death, Obituary – Pauline Barker Jones, who had spent her entire life in the city of Mount Holly, North Carolina, passed away on January 17, 2023. She had lived there her entire life. She had already clocked 93 years of life. They are unable to find any solace in the news of her passing, and it breaks their hearts to have to share it with others. On April 30th, 1929, her parents, John and Laura (Bryant) Barker, became proud parents of their daughter Pauline and welcomed her into the world. Bryant was Pauline’s middle name when she was born. It was in Lincoln County that she spent her formative years, and she completed her secondary school at Rock Springs High School, which is located near Denver in the state of North Carolina.
The educational establishment conferred upon her the degree of graduation. Mount Holly Farm Supply, which has been in operation for 70 years and is based in Mount Holly, North Carolina, recently celebrated this landmark year, and she was one of the founders who ran the company throughout its early years. When she was younger, she was a member of the Westview Presbyterian Church, and she was an active member there. She participated actively in the life of the church. Her husband, Ed Jones, her sister, Beatrice Sherrill, her brothers, Bud Barker and Lewis Barker, and her son-in-law, Doug Painter all passed away before her. She was the last surviving member of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse at the time of their marriage. Both of her parents passed away when she was still a small child, leaving her orphaned.
Pauline was an incredibly loving and devoted mother and grandmother to all of her children and grandchildren, including her own as well as her children’s and grandchildren’s progeny. Her children Teressa Jones Painter and Eric Jones (and his wife Kim), her grandchildren Brittany Hunt (and her husband Parker), Taylor Jones (and their spouses Trey and Sam), Haley Jones (and their spouses Sam and Kristen), along with her sister Barbara Rumple (and her husband Richard) of Iron Station, along with her sisters-in-law Lois Barker of Lowesville, Betty Marble (and their spouses Fred and Don), and Helen Killian (and their spouses Don), and also. A solemn gathering of family and friends will serve as the memorial service, and it will take place in the cemetery.
