The victim of the armed robbery that took place at Pinnon Meats on Wednesday was a 63-year-old woman named Peggy Anderson. Anderson was shot and died during the heist. Anderson was hurt during the heist, and the injuries she sustained ultimately led to her death. The identification was made by the coroner for Winnebago County, which is where the body was found. The death of Anderson was reportedly found in the back steps that went to an apartment on the second floor at around 3:30 in the afternoon, as stated by the police. The apartment was on the second story of the building.

Following that, the suspect made his run in Anderson’s car, which was a black Toyota 2021. This vehicle was subsequently found abandoned in the 2000 block of Douglas Avenue. After the crime had been committed, the automobile was used to flee the scene of the crime and get away from authorities.
