The 12th of January of this year marked the departure of my spouse, Raymond “Sonny” Callis. That day signals the start of our new chapter, which will be spent apart. I am sending you a copy of the obituary that may be found below; it includes some further information about him, including the following: On January 12, 2023, Raymond L. “Sonny” Callis lost his battle with cancer, and shortly after his death, he went to live with the Lord. On this particular day, everyone struggled to get through their tasks. The day that Sonny was brought into this world, which occurred on March 19, 1932, he was given the name “Johnny” as his christening name.
This day also marked the beginning of Sonny’s life in this world. This day was significant since it marked the beginning of Sonny’s life here on earth. Sonny’s son Gary, Sonny’s wife Joyce, and Faith Callis, who is Sonny’s daughter-in-law, are the only surviving members of Sonny’s direct family. Sonny’s daughter-in-law is also still alive. Recent years have seen the passing of Sonny’s mother and father one after the other. You should be able to find his great-granddaughter, Larriyah Kay Greer, as well as his grandchildren, Jeffrey Kyle Callis and Jessica Kalyn Callis, among us at this time. Also, his great-great-granddaughter is named Larriyah Kay Greer.
