Richard Cobb Obituary, Death – Richard Cobb of Felixstowe, England, has sadly passed away. Richard Cobb, Sr. passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at the age of 72. He was at home when he passed away, surrounded by the love and peace of his family. He had entered eternal life. He was known to his family and friends as “Richard,” and he was the son of Levester Cobb, Sr. and Lummie (Scales) Cobb, who both passed away. His early years were spent in Mt. Airy, North Carolina with his mother, grandparents, aunts, and uncles before the family relocated to Harrisburg in 1958. He received his education in the Harrisburg School District and spent his formative years there. Before Richard was even born, both of his parents had passed away.
In order to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, uncles, and brother, he signed up to work at what was formerly known as Bethlehem Steel Corporation Local 1688 but is now called Cleveland Cliffs. There, he served the organization with unwavering devotion for the entirety of his 51-year career before finally calling it quits in the summer of 2021. After he had reached retirement age, he renewed his devotion to the Lord and became a member of Dayspring Ministries in Middletown. Vannell, who was his wife at the time, was the mother of his children. He was married to Vannell. He considered it his moral responsibility to provide for his family.
Richard was an avid admirer of autos and had a great deal of success as a precision shooter; as a result, he was awarded a great deal of trophies. His parents, his daughter Rachel, and his brother Kenneth had all died before he did, and he was the only surviving member of his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his loving wife of 43 years, Betty Cobb; his three sons, Joseph Cobb, Jr., (Donza), Jermaine Cobb (Diana), and Maurice Cobb (Jeamee); his nine grandchildren; his two great grandchildren; his four siblings, Levester “June” Cobb, Jr. (Karen), Anthony Cobb, Christine Cobb, and Shawn Cobb; and his loving wife of 43 years, Betty Cobb. On Saturday, October 8, at eleven in the morning, a funeral ceremony commemorating Richard’s life will be place in the church where he worshiped.
