Robert Kish Obituary, Death – On July 23, 1958, in the city of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Bob Louis Kish Jr. was brought into the world by his parents, Carol Wesner and Robert Louis Kish Sr. After he graduated from Lakeshore High School, he went on to meet Sibyl, the lady who would eventually become the love of his life, and the two of them began their lives together.
They began their own family at the same time that they were in the process of purchasing a property by the river that had the prospective to become attractive in the future. They were bestowed with four children, each of whom he lavished a great deal of affection on, and he reared them all here in this residence.
After a number of years, Bob constructed his very own custom home as well as a barn for his family in the woods that were located back the cottage. Located in the backyard of the cottage are a number of outbuildings that serve as a showcase for Bob’s extraordinary abilities in the fields of carpentry and construction.
Bob was so familiar with the St. Joe River that he could navigate it with his eyes closed, and he spent a significant portion of his life on the water with his family. He was a proud native of the river and had lived there for the previous four decades. The family made it through two devastating floods, and Bob was even profiled in the local press during the Flood of ’88 because he was so determined to get milk and bacon for his family that he was willing to wade through water that came up to his waist in order to do so.
The family was able to survive both floods. Bob was a true “Mr. Fix-It” who made effective use of his skills by lending a helping hand to a sizable number of his relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Within his own family, he was famous as a leader, a coach, a baby whisperer, and someone who could even alleviate the anguish of a migraine with his fabled healing hands. He was a baby whisperer. He could even heal migraines.
The most important thing that Bob has contributed to is the growth of his family tree, but he has also been instrumental in the development of a wide range of high-quality projects and businesses. He is survived by his devoted wife Sibyl, his father Robert Sr., his sister Kathy, his aunt Mary Ann Wesner, his children Brad (Kristin), Kyle, Jessica (Michael), and Maria (Michael), as well as eight grandchildren: Brayden, Adeline, Molly, Leonine, Nolan, Oliver, Piper, and Delphina.
