Rob Thoni entered the world on June 5th, 1955 in Utica, New York, to parents whose names were Walter and Edith.
His parents gave him the name Rob. In 1973, he received his diploma from Midwest City High School in Oklahoma and was a member of that graduating class. Rob attended Oklahoma State University, which is also where he completed the coursework that led up to him earning his undergraduate degrees as well as his doctorate in veterinary medicine. Rob now holds both degrees. During the 37 years that Dr. Thoni was the owner of a prosperous private practice in Kilgore, he was able to provide veterinary care for a large number of much-loved pets as well as working animals in the east Texas region.
These patients included both companion animals and animals used in agriculture. The only thing that could compete with Rob’s enthusiasm for firearms and animals was the love that he had for his family. Rob loved his family very much. The unconditional love and support of his family allowed him to bounce back from adversity. Rob and his family created precious memories by spending quality time together, laughing and smiling during the experience, and doing so throughout the course of the day.
The family of Dr. Thoni was reunified after being separated for some time. Walter and Edith are the names of the Thonis’ children. His wife, Darlene Thoni, of Kilgore, his children Nick Thoni and his wife Alicia of Burleson and Anna Hamer and her husband Ryan of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchild Autumn; his bonus child Anissa Comer and her husband Shannon of Doddridge, Arkansas; bonus grand-children O’Dale and Sibbie; and his siblings Carol Thoni of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Bill Thoni and his wife Lori of Wichita, Kansas will inherit In addition to this, he has a great number of nieces, nephews, friends, and other members of his cherished family who will continue on his legacy once he passes away.
