Ronald Yost Obituary, Death – On the early morning of Saturday, January 21, 2023, Ronald S. Yost, who resided in Benton Township and had reached the age of 81 years, passed away at his home. On December 31st, 1941, he entered the world in Berwick. It was on May 5, 1993 that his father, Sheldon E. Yost, passed away, and on April 5, 2018, his mother, Marion R. (Doty) Yost also passed away. In addition to him passing away before him was his wife of 45 years, Jacqueline M. “Jackie” (Green) Yost. On January 14, 2012, she passed away.
Ronnie’s education started out at Stillwater School but then moved on to one of the Benton Schools. Within the construction industry, he worked as a carpenter. He served his country with distinction while he was a member of the United States Air Force.
He enjoyed being outside and going fishing and hunting in his spare time. The things that he enjoyed doing most were spending time with his family and working with wood.
The children who are still with us are Troy D. Hess of Benton, Rhonda R. Hess and her husband Steven of Benton, Tammy C. Traugh and her husband Daren of Benton, Valerie S. Lancenese and her husband Geoffrey of New Columbus, and Laurie L. Poorman of Milton, New Hampshire. All of these children were born to the same parents. The following individuals are his grandchildren: Anthony Cote, Alex Vera, Dayton Hess, Sara Hess, and Morgan Lancenese.
In addition, he has two brothers, Sheldon “Rod” Yost and his wife, Peggy, who live in Stillwater, and Stephen L. Yost, who lives in Anderson, South Carolina. He also has a large number of nieces and nephews. He has six great-grandchildren.
Prior to Ron’s passing, his wife and both of his parents as well as two of his brothers, Carroll A. Yost and Arthur W. Yost, took their own lives.
Private memorial ceremonies will be arranged at a time that is most convenient for the deceased person’s family, as per their wish.
