Rosie Ryle Death, Obituary – Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend Rosie Beardy-Ryle passed away on December 27, 2022. She was 79 years old. Rosie is survived by her sons Lester Beardy, Edward Beardy, Alvin Beardy, Allen (Rachel), Clifford (Melvina), and Leslie (Pearl); daughters Bertha Beardy, Harriet Beardy, and Sharon Beardy; granddaughter Lilly Beardy (Crybaby); brothers-in-law Victor (Diane) Beardy and George Beardy; 36 grandchildren; and 56 great-grandchildren. Rosie’s family included her husband Thomas Beardy (2014), their sons Albert and William, their daughter Cindy, their sisters Dorothy O’Meara and Ida Roulette, their brother Olsen Beardy, their grandsons Tommy and Allan Jr., and their granddaughters Leonna and Catherine.
Rosie loved to take long car trips, during which she would look at the sights and listen to the gospel music that was so important to her. “Walk With Me” was one of her all-time favorite songs. She loved cuddling up with her granddaughter, Lilly, to watch films (Crybaby). Rosie’s sense of humor was infectious, and she was always the source of a good time. It was easy to become friends with her because she was a tolerant soul. Pre-illness Rosie’s favorite things to prepare were smoked salmon, moose meat, and deer meat. Berry harvesting and jam-making were two more hobbies of hers. Her favorite food was bannock, so she made sure there was plenty.
Rosie grieved for her late husband frequently and spoke fondly of him after his demise. Lake St. Martin Chief and Council, Winnipeg Paramedics, Diane, and Victor Beardy, Pastor Chris Bruce, Anderson Family Funeral Home, Gloria Thompson, Evelyn Beardy, Allan and Rachel, Family and Friends, and everyone else who came out to support us during this time is all very much appreciated. To the extent that you have, I appreciate it.
